Finance company City has announced the launch of a new mobile payment solution for small shops and businesses in the Dominican Republic.

The new service Citi Mobile Collect will allow merchants to accept mobile payments. According to Citi, there are about 80,000 grocery stores and small traders in the Dominican Republic, most of whom still use cash as the main payment method. Using the new payment solution users can make purchases through Citi mobile payments.
